Heather's Story
Heather

I, like most Americans, am suffering from the economic crunch. I purchased my home when the market was prosperous, there were two incomes to support the household and my job was secure. However, in the last eight (8) months, all of the above have changed.

I’m a “textbook” success story. I served in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard for eight (8) years after high school. I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree and have worked my way up the corporate ladder in my chosen career field of Public Relations, most recently, serving as the Public Information and Communications Coordinator for the City of Mesa.

I have a healthy, supportive family and group of friends and have donated my time to various charitable organizations around the Valley. Unfortunately, the debt incurred from the purchase of my home and my education is now too much to handle with my job in uncertainty and the market in shambles.

I do not want a “hand-out” however. I believe I have found a creative way to help myself start with a “clean slate,” even if that means losing the tangible investment of my home. In the process, I’m helping others who may have lost a house or a job, or both, regain a place to call home. Most importantly, we’ll be raising money for the Murray Grey Foundation and increasing the number of military families who can benefit from financial assistance during these tough times in our world.

I want to inspire others! I want people to believe any dream can come true if YOU decide it will.
